Coil-Mounted Germicidal Irradiation for New and Existing Rooftop HVAC Systems
PPR Series
The PPR Series features a patented, low-profile design engineered for integration into new and existing Packaged Rooftop Units (RTUs). Designed for coil-mounted installation, the system provides continuous Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI), also referred to as Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV), to evaporator coils and associated drain pan surfaces to help limit microbial growth and biofilm accumulation while supporting heat-transfer efficiency and HVAC performance.
Model configurations (PPR-N08, PPR-N12, PPR-N20, and PPR-N40) are selected based on system tonnage and application objectives. Surface-focused configurations provide appropriate UV-C irradiance at the coil for sustained biofilm control. Quick-connect components support efficient installation, and all units include integrated safety interlocks and UV-filtered viewports.
When airborne pathogen reduction is a project objective, the system may be configured to provide calculated UV-C exposure within the moving air stream in addition to continuous coil and drain pan irradiation. Air stream performance depends on airflow conditions, dwell time, and irradiance levels while preserving system aerodynamics and protecting Total External Static Pressure (TESP).
Construction: Grade 304 stainless steel and non-corrosive aluminum.
Compliance: Manufactured in the United States; supports BABAA requirements.
